Enjoy the
Summer.
The latest match report for the Thamesmead Under 14's provided by Jake Cella, a parent of one of the team members.
The Under 14's won the Kent League North Division for 2011/12 and since the end of the season have played some friendlies.
E-Mail from Kent League to Jake Cella:
Congratulations to all. I am fully aware of the excellent reputation that
Epsom Eagles have and for producing good players and a good team. This just
illustrates how well your lads have done this season.
Kind regards
Ken
E-Mail from Jake Cella to Kent League:
Morning Ken,
Hope alls well, I thought you might like to know that we went away
yesterday to Worcester Park, Surrey to play a friendly against the 'Epsom
Eagles' who have just won the Surrey Youth League 'Elite' Division and are
in the Cup finals etc... we took a squad of 13 boys over there and it
was a great game, fiercely contested with chances for both sides, although
to be fair we had more and hit the bar and the post and it was looking like
finishing in a 0-0 draw when in the very last minute a great move from
central to right and then back central ended with our centre midfielder
Jordan Childley curling a right foot shoot just outside the penalty area
with the outside of his boot into the bottom corner !!
So...... Surrey Elite champions 0 Kent League North champions 1
Regards Jake

We took the Under 14 boys to Brentford Academy on the 28th April 2012 for a friendly. We managed to win 3-2
against a very strong Brentford Academy side. So a big well done to the Under 14's and it was very good to see a few
of them as mascots for the Mead's final Ryman League game on Saturday.
Thanks to Paul Turner for the message.
