Thamesmead Town U18s 9 Erith & Belvedere U18s 0
By Mead reporter Bally
Thamesmead Town's under 18s North, clinched the league title last night at Bayliss Avenue, to cap off a remarkable season with a 9-0 drubbing of Erith & Belverdere.
The win enabled them to acheive 'THE TREBLE'. In front of a good size crowd it took the youngsters only one minute to take the lead , Corbin rounding the keeper to fire into a empty net.
Despite being totally outclassed Erith to there credit tried there best but the game was all but over when Corbin scored either side of the half time break to complete his hat-trick and give Mead a three- nil lead.
The rest of the game , to say the least was a bit one sided. Borchescu helped himself to a double along with Willis with further goals coming from Hopkins and Danso.
Despite the trophy not being there, the lads celebrated in fine style at the final whistle to cap off a amazing season. The squad that did it is has follows, A. Woodward, C. Borchescu, D.Chapman, L. Collins, B.Corbin, J.Ford, E.Danso, L.Dawson, J.Dillon, J.Hopkins, A.Jeffrey, S.O'Keefe, F.Omugbehim, D.Willis, B.Wright, T.Wright, B.Killick and C. Mc Carthy.
Well done also to the management team of Gary Dillon, Keith Mc Mahon, Nick O Keefe and Alan Woodward - you've made Bally very happy!!
