Player Profiles

Marc Merridan: Mezza as his known is 24 and is having his second spell at the Mead. Marc is a very athletic right full back that loves to go forward. He is very comfortable on the ball and is a very good talker for his young age and has a very sweet right foot. Has a really good attitude and loves the mirror. Previous Clubs are Crystal Palace and VCD Athletic. Mezza also enjoys dressing up as Troy Bolton from High School Musical

Lew Watts:  Lew, 33, spent ten years at Welling United before spells with Tonbridge Angels, Maidstone, Dartford and Gravesend & Northfleet. He signed at the start of last season and was a major part of us winning the double. He was the Manager’s Player of the Year last year and his experience adds to the back bone of the team in the center of defence. He chips in with a few goals to, but unfortunately all in his own net!

Danny Moore: Danny joined this year from Greenwich Borough, where he had a good season for them. Danny can play in a number of positions including Left Back and Centre Back. He is a tremendous athlete, never stops running. Very quick and comfortable on the ball, he is a very good acquisition for the club. Previous clubs: Dulwich Hamlet, Beckenham Town, Greenwich Borough.

Peter Deadman: aged 40, Peter plays left midfield. Peter is in his second spell at the Mead. He first joined in 1994 and in 1996 left to play for Sutton United, from there Peter has played for Bromley and Slade Green where he left to re-join the Mead in 1999. Peter's hobbies are Golf, any sports and being a husband and a dad. Peter's nickname is Deaders and he supports Leeds United. Peter's favorite player is David Ginola and Peter's biggest influence in his career is himself. Peter enjoys listening to jazz music and his favorite food is Italian. Peter's strength's are his crossing and passing ability. His attitude to keeping himself fit is a lesson for younger players coming through the ranks.

Lee Loveridge: aged 24, Lee plays centre back, Lee joined Thamesmead in 2002 from VCD Athletic, Lee’s hobby is socialising and he has a few nicknames, White Boy, Snickers & Ewok. Lee supports Man United and he’s favourite player is Mark Hughes. Lee’s biggest influence in football is Keith McMahon, Lee like’s to listen to RnB music and his favourite food is cottage pie. Lee’s strength’s are he’s heading ability and his tackling and pace.

James Brown: Aged 24, James plays centre midfield. James joins the Mead for his second spell signing last year from VCD Athletic where he was their player of the year. James nickname is Browny. His strengths are his heading and tackling ability. James's hobby is disco dancing. He plays with his heart on his sleeve and last season was the team captain for a large part of the season, where he won Supporters Player of the Year. Browny’s favorite person at the club is Steve Wait.

Scot Mulholland: Aged 21. Scott resigned for Thamesmead last year after a brief spell at Slade Green. Scot joined the Mead from QPR two seasons ago. He plays in centre midfield where his strengths are his passing and his skills. Scot's hobbies include throwing his toys out of his pram and waving his wand about. Scot’s nickname is Voldamort. His biggest challenge is trying to pull.

Peter Smith: Peter signed for the club this year from Greenwich Borough. Smudger, as he is known, can play in numerous positions including central midfield, centre forward and right back. His strengths are his dribbling and work rate. He is very comfortable on the ball and is a very good link player. Peter also chips in with his fair number of goals.

Lea Dawson: Lea is 18 year old central midfield player that has come through the youth ranks. Lea broke into the 1st team last year where he has been a regular squad player all season. He has been at the club since he was 8 years old and his strengths are his heading and tackling abilities and his overall work rate. He has a bright future at the club and he is currently on a 2 year contract with the club. Lea’s nickname is Pikey.

Daniel Chapman: Daniel is 18 years old and is a centre back/right back. Daniel broke into the 1st team squad last season at right back and his strengths are his reading of the game and he gets forward very well. He’s also is very comfortable on the ball. Daniel’s hobbies include a bottle and a brown paper bag. He has been at the club since he was 8 and is currently on a 2 year contract with the club.

Curtis Williams: aged 25, Curtis plays centre forward. Curtis joined Thamesmead in 2000 from Dartford. Curtis's hobbies are football and computers and his nickname is Douf. He too supports Liverpool and his favorite player is Steven Gerrard. Curtis likes listening to Hip-Hop and RnB music and his favorite food is KFC. His strengths are his pace and finishing ability. Curtis also has a side job running Halloween parties.

Rikki Cable: Aged 21. Rikki plays centre forward and joined the Mead three seasons ago from Faversham Town. Rikki's strengths are his goal scoring ability and his skill. Rikki's nickname is Rock Star. Rikki was the clubs top goal scorer last year scoring 30 goals, as he has been for the last 3 season. He is a great lad to have around the club with outstanding ability.
