Ressies close in on title too

The Reserves took another step closer to winning the Division One Title for the third successive year, when they drew 1 - 1 away there nearest challengers Dartford on Saturday.

A great finish from Dean Burns after 30 minutes saw us go in 1 - 0 up at the break. In another backs against the wall performance, we looked as if we would manage to hold out until a superb 25 yard leveler got Dartford a share of the points with 5 minutes to go.

This Saturday they have another vital game, at home to Cray Wanderers.

With the 1st team not playing until Sunday in the Kent Senior Trophy Final, please come along and support Boyley and the Reserves, in the search of the points needed to clinch the title.

Tough test overcome

Whitstable Town Reserves 1 Thamesmead Town Reserves 3

Against a side that had defeated the Reserves on both occasions last season, this was always going to be a tough game and so it was to prove.

A first half goal from Dave Batt, saw them go in 1 - 0 at half time. A first for a very long time by captain Scott Lewis and another by Dave Batt, saw them take a 3 - 0 lead midway through the second half and although Whitstable got one back late on to set up a nervous finish, the Reserves returned home with 3 very well earned and deserved points.
