Trust Thamesmead have reached a milestone with the submission of a full and very detailed planning application to Bexley Council for the proposed £4 million Sporting Club Thamesmead project at Bayliss Avenue. Bexley Council aims to consider planning applications of this size within 12 weeks.
If the trust are successful in gaining consent they can go ahead and submit a substantial bid to the Football Foundation for further funding. As soon as there are further details, we will provide an update on progress.

Goals from Curtis Williams, two from Richard Dimmock and a James Brown header at the end of the game gives Mead a 4-0 victory against Lordswood. The win, which saw Sammy Thomas return from injury, maintains Thamesmead's four point dominance at the top of the table.

Faversham Town 1 Thamesmead Town 2
Thamesmead gained maximum points from the second League Cup group B match in four days by overcomming Faversham 2-1. Goals came early in the first half thanks to Curtis Williams and Lee Loveridge.

After the birth of Keith McMahon and partner Vicky's new born baby, Ben, two weeks ago, we are pleased to announce that Rikki Cable's partner, Laura, has given birth to a healthy baby girl earlier this week, Natasha. Congratulations to the couple, everyone at the Mead wish the new family well. Meanwhile, Thamesmead begin their FA Vase campaign at Tonbridge Wells today. We'll bring you an update on the game this evenening. Hopefully sleepless nights won't affect Rikki's performance!

Our official mascot, Tommy the Thamesmead Toad will be again compete in the John Smith'sMascot Grand National at Huntingdon Racecourse, this Sunday, 7 October. The race will be televised and more details can be found on the race website.
