The Weekly Blog - Issue 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well over a week has past, does'ny time fly!!!! A lovely letter on the home page from Kelle, and I am sure she will be missed by the Mead, and from what the Gaffer has said in notes in past she has done a terrific job and I am sure she will do the same for the Isthmian League. All I have gleaned recently from Facebook and Twitter is that I am sure some of the squad and the Gaffer were away from a break but have now returned, and Keith has been on Twitter and Facebook stating he is already working ahead of the new season and said that some drainage work was being done on the Bayliss Avenue Pitch this week. Not sure any building work is going on, can only hope it is as not been part the ground or near it recently. The Mead's ex-coach (well I think Hugo has moved on) now has a website (www.hugolangton.co.uk) where he is talking about coaching and his academy, who recently played Charlton and I watched some of the game. I read his first musing's yesterday and posted a comment, I really did enjoy the chance to watch Hugo at work and one thing I have always enjoyed about going to football matches is watching teams go through a warm up to see how different coaches approach it.

Well I was happy at the weekend when Ebbsfleet made it back to the Conference Premier at the first attempt, which was an achievement. Not sure now if the sqaud can be retained and if the funding issues will hinder them next season. I was a member of MyFootballClub initially but found it frustrating and I felt that some members wanted too much involvement. Hamilton got relegated last week which in the end was no surprise, and their manager, Billy Reid who has been there for a few years seems keen to keep young players coming through and to play football, he must be in Keith's school of football philosophy!!!!!!!

That's it for the present.

Up the Mead :-)

Re: The Weekly Blog - Issue 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plan to walk over to the ground on Saturday and see if things are progressing, we drove round to Bayliss Avenue last night and it seems that work is going on so hopefully we are finally on the road to the new facilities being ready sometimes in the late Autumn. Also on Twiiter, The Gaffer tweeted that he had made a signing which will be his biggest so far!!!!!!! So I await to see who that is. On Facebook, Lewis Tozer has been away sunning himself to top up his tan and hopefully his hip is recovering. As I said in a post at the season end, hopefully the bulk of the squad will return.

Up the Mead :-)
