Two Cup Wins and let's hope for a League Win tomorrow to make it a great week!!!!!!!

Well Tuesday night was a performance summed up by the comments on the front page, three goal salvo in the 2nd half won a competitive game, and was pleased to see this morning that another win was picked up last night at Faversham, so hopefully the team will have gained confidence this week and I know some legs will be tired, but hope they can raise themselves for a tough league game tomorrow. It is good the Kingy has got a couple of goals already and also good to see Scot M get a goal which is the first for a little while. So the Mead still have an interest in a couple of cup competitions going forward and now just need to try and push on in the League as well. Hopefully the predicted wet weather will not cause problems, although the Bayliss Avenue pitch did look heavy on Tuesday night, so heavy rain may cause some issues.

Hopefully the game against Wingate and Finchley will go ahead ok and I will get along. Well done to the players and management this week.

Up the Mead :-)

2 games in as many days and 2 wins - Hope the cup run doesn't have an affect on league performance. New supporter of the Mead so I'm not up on strength of squad and whether or not the cup teams were full strength. Good to see Stuart (kingy) has started well. Other than his goals. How is his all round performance!!!!!

Not yet used to this replying business, looks like I messed up my first attempt. 2 cup wins in as many days is great but hopefully the cup run doesn't affect the league performance. Being a new Mead supporter I'm unsure of the depth in squad and whether or not the cup teams were full strength teams or fringe players. 3 games in 5 days is lot to ask of any team. Glad to see that Stuart (kingy) has bagged a couple of goals in his first 2 games, but what about his overall performance!!!!. I spoke to him after the Welling game and he was buzzing with excitement and feels really positive bout his switch to the Mead.

I thought his overall performance on Tuesday night was very good, Stuart looks a very good signing for the club. It will be a test for the squad having three games this week, but Keith, the gaffer, made it clear in his programme note on Tuesday that he was taking the two cup games seriously this week, and he has done so. The overall sqaud depth is something that the Gaffer had worked on over the season and it is hard to keep everyone happy at this level at times. I tend to go along to most home games as I live not that far from the ground and I have travelled to a few away games too. Hopefully the cup wins will help to improve performances in the league and it is great to see someone else posting on the forum.

Re: Two Cup Wins and let's hope for a League Win tomorrow to make it a great week!!!!!!!

I've just read on the faversham forum that it had been agreed for the two managers to field weaker teams - faversham put out only one first teamer whilst Mead was pretty much full strength - interesting!
