I did buy the Non-League Sunday paper yesterday which I do most weekends, and saw that the Mead did not put in a great performance on Saturday but got a point and it was a tale of three pens, and Sam Mott had a great game but all accounts in saving a pen and pulling off several other key saves. In the end, it must have been hard for the Mead to had three key players missing and in the end you get some games like this, where you maybe need to take point and itcould prove vital in the long run. I see the Mead have a midweek game this week in the league and then on Saturday then have the FA Trophy 2nd Qualifying round tie at Folkstone which will be a test. Not sure how long the missing players are suspended for, and then the skipper will have to serve a ban after being sent off on Saturday. So it gives other players a chance to come into the team and stake a claim. The Gaffer has been trying hard to build a sqaud and it is at times like this you need the strength and depth. Wish the players and management all the best for the two games this week.
