The Mead put in what I feel was there best performance so far this season as they gained a great 3 points over the water against East Thurrock. The Mead played there usually good football and the back three dealt really well with the big No.9 of East Thurrock. The breakthrough came mid way thrugh the first half when Gabs got down and behind their defence to pull the ball back from Marcus to turn it home. About 7 mins later AC was played through and sloted the ball passed the keeper to make it 2-0 and then must have got a knock as he had to go off. East Thurrock had little to offer to me but they did have some pressure early in the second half when a goal for them would have made it interesting. However, The Mead defended well as a team and limited the chances they had, and could have had the killer third goal when Gabd rattled the post. The game was seen out well and this was a great team effort and a good afternoon out in Essex for me and the wife, after Ikea and Lakeside!!!!!!

Well apart from their big No.9 who was a handful for Campbell and Tozer they never really created that much, ok in thinking about it they did gety past Sam Mott once late in thesecond half but the defender on the line did his job. The No.10 who got rightly sent off for two bookings looked useful with the ball at fett but certainly in the first half they got the ball forward a quickly as possible, in the second half they passed it more. They have hit the buffers after a good start and today me and wife feel slightly guilty as we were sitting in front of thier manager in the first half!!!! What fun we had :-)
