Heybridge 1 Thamesmead 2 (AET)

Thamesmead won in the end with 9 men on tyhe field with AC getting sent off in the second half when we were 1- 0 down, one of the twins equalised which sent it into ET. First half of ET we went ahead when Dawson scored, but alas the lad must of had a rush of blood because after already been booked he took off his shirt in celebration and got a second yellow. So playing with nine men for the last 20 mins means this was one hell of a result for the club.

Good to see someone else posting, now through the wonders of Facebook I found out the result and head about AC getting sent off, apparently for mouthing off, now having seen the man in action that is not the first time it has happened, so someone please gag AC before he goes on the pitch. Mark Gray very kindly sent me a message on Facebook which I saw at just after 5am this morning and it was a great win by the Mead, especially with 9 men, but when are the Football Association and referee's going to see sense, what is wrong these days with celebrating a goal and what harm does taking your shirt off do? The skipper said on Facebook that his legs were gone, but all credit to the team for keeping going on what must have been a long night. Now I assume that this means AC and Dawson will be suspended for the next Trophy game which I think is an away tie. So that continues the good rum since the set back at Heybridge a couple of weeks ago, let's hope we can keep it going on Saturday.

Up the Mead :-)

Unfortunately chatting back seems to be stuck in Andys make-up. I,ve been telling him for 2 years to let it go, asked him how many times he has ever got a referee to change his mind by talking to him (none) so why do it. The best is the ref thinks your a moaner, the worse he will make sure he gives everything he can against you, and the team, and i think this has happened a few times these last couple of years.
