Well Spain overcame the over physical Dutch on Sunday evening, and got the crucial goal before we had to endure the drama of penalties. I feel there was poetic justice in that as Holland could have been down to nine men before half time. Howard Webb had an almost impossible job as the ref, and I feel the Dutch tirades at him and pretty pathetic. Overall I feel the World Cup was disappointing, probably Englands demise did'nt help, but great games were hard to come by really. I wonder what awaits us in Brazil 2014. Waiting for the normal football to get back now, and friendlies are already in progress across the country, someone I work with was down in Bournemouth on Saturday to see Spurs win 4-0. I have been watching some obscure Champions League qualifiers on Iraq goals this evening. The news on the homepage that the club committee have decided to freeze prices of admission is a very sound one in the current financial climate. I know we are pinning our hopes on the new facilities bringing in more fans, and the work seems to be continuing greatly and everytime I go out that way it seems to be progressing, I really look forward to seeing it finished later in the year and hopefully it will be another big step forward for the club. I hope the pre-season training is going well and that everyone is building up fitness and staying injury free. I will try and come along to a few of the home friendlies, and I think the fixtures for the league are due out tomorrow, so will look for them when I get home from work tomorrow. I have a couple of days off this week to watch the golf and I really need to get back to playing golf too. Until the next time I feel like typing on the forum, take care.
Cheers :-)
