Well another week has drifted by, the budget has caused alot of discussion, and I face a two year pay freeze now as a civil servant, but some of the measures effect everyone, and we are pressurised to save more money on a daily basis. As for the World Cup, England played rubbish in their 2nd game, but picked up a little on Wednesday afternoon and did just enough to get thorugh to the 2nd Round. The late goal by the USA meant they finished 2nd in the group and face the prospect of a battle with Germany on Sunday afternoon. Personally I feel it is a 50/50 game, and it will be close. The major surprise was the imploding of the French team and then the Italians crashing out yesterday. So that means there are some last 16 match ups which probably no one predicted and the drama will really begin tomorrow. I see on Facebook that the Gaffer is off for a break, so I hope he enjoys the rest and I think pre-season training begins early in July and then a raft of friendlies have been scheduled, most of them at home, so I will try and get along to a few before the season starts in earnest. The weather this week has been hot, and it is tipped to get hotter over the weekend, not my time of the year!!!!
Cheers :-)
