Well the World Cup has been going for just over a week and the games have got better since we reached the 2nd games for most teams. Only Argentina so far have looked the part but the experts feel their defence could be exposed later on. England's draw to me was not the disaster it was portrayed as by the Media, ok Robert Green made a terrible mistake, but as a goalkeeper in my youth I know that feel a goalie makes a mistake it usually ends in a goal. In a way it is the most thankless position in football, even if you make ten great saves, and then one mistake which costs your team the game, what are people watching going to remember!!!! Anyway, the England team have the chance in less than 45 minutes to take a big step towards the knockout stages as they should be able to beat Algeria. The USA's fightback early to draw with Slovenia means an England win by two goals will put them top of the group. Their prospective opponents in the 2nd round is clouded after the Germans who everyone seemed to be raving about after thier first game, crashed to Serbia. So they have been some shock results, and I feel the tournament is building nicely.

As for the Mead, I see further building is being done with two more signings, I know a little about Sam Mott, as I saw him at EbbsFleet where he came through the ranks. Another forward is another good sign, is the Gaffer thinking of out and out attack in 2010/11!!!!!! Until the next time which will be in another week or so!!!!!!
