I was wondering when the work was going to start ? nothing happening at the moment, but thought all approved ?? Am I wrong

The plans have been submitted to Bexley Council and the consultation period expired just before Chrismas. The plans will be concidered later in February with the ultimate decision being made shortly after. If planning permission is granted, work may begin as early as close season this year.

Local MP, John Austin-Walker, has dipped in to funds to add an extra £160k through the Marathon Foundation.

In my personal opinion, there is so much to benefit from this project for the local community and the plans fit with local and central governemnt agenda (particularly the recent Governement white paper on local community). Therefore I think it would be hard for these plans to be rejected. I must stress, thought that that is just my personal opinion. ;-)
