The Mead Emotions 1 Leyton 0

Todays game was one of them games were we needed to bounce back rapidly from the two games lost were the teams around us were picking up points.

As we got to the game in the changing room and the gaffer started to speak you could see the emotions on the bosses face and to me, probably everyone felt that and hes comments was very touching.

The comments I write are just an opinion I don't get paid extra and i'm not looking for any extra so if any one does have a problem with anything I write be man or woman enough to leave your name and speak to me as i'm very approachable.

The gaffer to me looked like he was angry in side and dissapointed with the running into this game and looked teary. I belived that everyone felt that emotion from him and I aslo believe that evryone knew that today we had to put that right especially when the boss said " that if we don't win today we can forget". In my mind no chance.

The boss gave every one a job with the instructions of do what I tell ya and we will win the game.

With the animal Dawson back in the squad after suspension he was the key needed in the middle of the park to battle were he was badly missed.

For the first time this season I can say that the warm up was the most positive I saw and felt. Everyone was buzzing, putting in the extras, passing well and it looked like we were up for this one.

Over the last few games our start in the first half has been poor but in the game we looked like the team fighting for promotion and pushing for the dream.

We bit at heels being committed to second balls, movement was better and you could see that the desire to win was back although we had to be patience to wait for our chances.

The MUSKATEERS I have to say that when you concede goals as a defender and keeper it does hurt especially on saturday at home did hurt. Today was one of those games were we all put our necks on the line to ensure that no silly mistakes were gonna happen and that we will protect Northy better than we have done.

We spent at least 75% in their half still playing and the high tempo was back and they were on the back foot, so patience was the key to this game and it came. After applying so much pressure on Leyton we had corners and when one of there players cleared the ball out to the egde of the box Browney smashed a wonder strike with the keeper at full stretch bottom corner 1 NIL up.

It came from a good start applying pressure and digging deep. The characters were out and it showed.

Being 1 nil at the break the atmosphere in the changing room was great and the gaffer was smilling which was good to see.

Alot of work still had to be done.

Second half started exactly the same chasing balls down everyone being committed to the cause, it was at a pace where any fan would have been happy to see but it was good that we were at the races to cross the finishing line victorious no matter what.

Still defending solidly and still trying to create chances today was one of them games where it was no time to be going threw the motions and making exuses what if, it was a game where from the begining to the end individual prformances had to be high and that showed big time.

We need to dig deep for the rest of the season and if we play like that for the rest of the season then we reach all of our goals.

To summaries Iwould just like to say well done to my team for a great performance keep it going boys and all have that belief because no game is going to easy now top, middle or bottom sides will teat us from now till the end of the season.

Lets not let our selves down as the

Dream Continues...........................

Excellent stuff as alway's Junior, and I think your posts are first class. Well done to the whole team for responding in a positive way and claiming a vital win, to keep a clean sheet after what happened on Saturday, was a credit to Northy and the Muskateers!!!!!!

Cheers :-)
